Equipment

The Surrey and Hampshire Makerspace a large range of equipment for our members to use. Here’s some examples, but more can be found in the Equipment section of the Forum.

  • Soldering and Electronics Workstation – we have a dedicated area for all sorts of equipment oriented to electronics!
    • Solder rework station – a soldering iron and hot air gun for soldering all sorts of components.
    • De-soldering station
    • Fume extractor for a hassle-free soldering session.
    • Solder, flux, de soldering equipment and sundries.
    • Stereomicroscope for soldering very small things!
    • Hot plate for SMD reflow.
    • Test equipment:
      • Rigol DS1052E Oscilloscope, for viewing waveforms and signals.
      • Multimeters for current, voltage and resistance testing. Georg Ohm would be proud.
      • Logic analyzers for digital electronics.
      • Bench power supplies for powering and testing your creations.
  • Laser Cutter  – 50W of power, with a ~A3 sized bed.

  • Band saw and sander
  • Scroll saw
  • Model Lathe
  • 3D Printers
  • Windows, Linux and Mac Computers – in case you don’t have a laptop with you, or need access to most common applications we use.
